Who is Sirah?

To try and hold Sirah down would be unwise. What the chameleonic Los Angeles artist lacks in stature, she more than makes up in spirit. Attempt to slow her roll and get rolled over, laid out by a pint-sized powerhouse who holds court at the intersection of fizzy pop and swaggerful rap, clutching a rhinestone-bedazzled mic with a steel-studded punk rock heart. Everything Sirah has, she's hustled hard for, leaving her native Long Island as a teen to cut her teeth in the West's storied hip-hop underground. Now, with a hotly tipped mixtape on the way and a handful of Skrillex collaborations under her belt, Sirah is forging her solid gold crown in a much bigger arena.

Sirah has made a habit out of slaying expectations. Born to a bluesman and an artist, she moved with her dad to Washington State at 6, into a trailer in a community that had its own sweat lodge and medicine man. But colorful beginnings eventually gave way to darker realities as she lost her father to drugs, and was forced to return to New York. There, she struggled with her own demons and after a series of arrests, chose to relocate to L.A. on her own rather than face foster care at 15. She'd begun rapping with friends at parties a few years earlier after memorizing every line of Big Pun's Capital Punishment, so it wasn't long before Sirah discovered her new home's emceeing epicenter, the legendary Project Blowed open mic.

She made her name in the shadow of local stalwarts like Dilated Peoples and Freestyle Fellowship, and booked her own tours across Germany, Romania, and the U.S., raising money from fans and sleeping on floors as she went. In L.A., lodging wasn't much more secure. Sirah called Union Station home for some time, then lived out of a Jeep Cherokee while managing a cafĂ© by day and recording her debut EP at night. Clean Windows Dirty Floors (2007) showcased a winning mix of wit, humor, ability, and perspective, and people took note. The industry flirted heavily, but also wanted her to change—to starve herself, to dumb it down, to fit a mold—and so Sirah pushed on without 'em.

Her sweet tooth for pop developed in the meantime. Sirah was battle-tested on all counts, but she saw the opportunity for more. She'd found a home base a downtown arts colony anchored by her newfound fan and friend, a gifted producer named Sonny Moore (later, Skrillex). Her live show had grown into a visceral and vicious thing with Sirah backed by live drums and keys, rolling on the floor or on top of the crowd, barefoot and feral. In the studio, she'd been working with seasoned writers to align her sound with her ambition. Then came setback: Mere weeks before the release of her debut LP Smile, You Have Teeth, Sirah and her management team had a disagreement and decided to part ways. Hoping for a fresh start, she gave up the record, cut her losses, and moved on.

But 2011 brought rebirth with "Double Yellow Lines," produced by Sirah's go-to collaborator Mighty Mike. The effervescent single—a combination summertime BBQ jam and rap-fueled electro-pop anthem, portrays a strikingly upbeat look despite some tough odds. But taking a cue from her earliest inspiration Joni Mitchell, our heroine has always been as scrappy and self-made as her hand-embellished thrift store wardrobe. And every challenge, from caring for an ailing father to overcoming her own addictions, from persevering through homelessness to wrestling with bad business, has only spurred her onward. That DIY sticktoitness and undefeatable sense of worth follows Sirah wherever she goes.

Who is Keston Barker?

Keston chose his path early. He was raised in a musical family with a long-standing guitar tradition.

By the age of two, Keston seemed mesmerized by the guitar, and spent hours rhythmically strumming the instrument. He continued his own experimentation until he began to craft a style and an amazing technical ability never before witnessed in a musician of his age.

Keston is comfortable shredding neo-classical licks alongside; Martin Gerschwitz & Yngvie Malmsteen, wailing blues riffs ala Jimi Hendrix, or smooth Santana-style phrasing with deep expressive vibrato.

The sky is the limit.

Keston (Guitarist of BusBoys Fame) plays - Hennesseys Tavern Dana Point. 9PM-Midnight Every Thursday featuring Martin Gerschwitz (of Iron Butterfly, Eric Burden & The Animals, Meatloaf) on Keyboards, Lavell Jones (Neil Diamond, Seal) on Drums. Blake Hunter on Bass. Jammers Welcome www.hennesseystavern.com/dana_point.html

Who is OG Cuicide?

Compton, CA – Struggling to survive and overcome violence and poverty is a common image seen in movies and music about those who live in Compton. For West Coast rapper Cuicide, it’s all just a part of his life.

He’s dealt with hardships from the moment he was born, from having been abandoned by his parents at only eighteen months old to having to make it through foster homes and more upheavals. With no place to truly call home, he took to the streets and their offers of gang banging, robbing and hustling, but even that failed to calm him and eventually lead to an attempt at taking his own life at the young age of 22 years old.

He thankfully lived through that and woke up out of a coma with a renewed sense of determination to make it. Just two years after the life-changing brush with death that spawned his rap name, he signed his first record deal and recorded his debut album “Final Exit.”

The album reflected his life before the coma, including constant living on the edge and opened the door for his future in music. Since then he’s released a second album, toured across Japan, France, and Germany and taken up acting.

The struggles haven’t stopped, as he’s been shot twice in the last four years, including in the stomach by an AK-47, but through it all he’s developed a desire to never quit. His new album “Never Give Up” will carry that theme and is sure to give his listeners a true glimpse at overcoming the odds.

“Looking back on my life from the past until now I never gave up and know for sure there is a God and I'm here for a reason,” Cuicide reflects. “So to the world I say no matter what you’ve been or are going through you can make it. Always remember OG Cuicide told you never give up.”

Who is the "Z" Band?

"Z" Band is a ZZ Top Tribute Band. After having many years of success together and with various other artists & producers, Bill Davis, Franc Ortega and Ricky Lewis have formed the finest and most authentic tribute act to one of the most well-known bands of all time. The “Little Ol’ Band from Texas” has endured many decades of great music and constant touring.

Ricky (Rev. Ricky G.), Bill (Rusty Bill), and Franc (Franc Beerz) have spent a great amount of time and effort completing the act that will provide them many years of performing as an unbelievably tight and incredibly powerful three piece group.

This ZZ Top tribute is second to none. Paying close attention to the true recorded sounds of ZZ Top’s music, audiences close their eyes and feel they are at the show with the real band....a statement hard to match.

Like three brothers, Ricky, Bill and Franc have traveled worldwide together and have always wanted to perform as a full-time, professional touring band. They please audiences wherever they go with whatever music genre they may perform, the “Z” show affirming that they are truly at the top of their game.

This is the act that will be recognized for years to come as a major entertainment force…..a lot like the guys they’re paying tribute to.

She was lucky enough to sit in and sing with many great local musicians and bands, including Jerry Messner, Jim Oldschmidt and Bruce King , the various greats of The Buffalo Joe Band and Joel and John Kuether, who founded Loose Ends. She owes a bunch to her first band, Rockport, with the talent of John Truttschel, Kevin Ruppel, John Wroble, David Hassler and Bob Welsch, a fun hard-working group that made her realize that singing and performing was something she would do the rest of her life...

She left Wisconsin in 1979, touring the country as a solo act ,starting in Florida and heading to the East Coast. In 2007, Gina released her first CD "Let it Begin", which was produced by Anthony Terrezza.. The CD has 2 original songs co-written by Anthony and includes covers of classic rock artists such as Led Zeppelin, Fleetwood Mac and Janis Joplin.

The local guys and gals she gets to share the stage with, keep her on her toes, making sure she has fun, as well as joining in to rock the house!! Please check out all their Facebook/MySpace Pages, and support these bands/musicians, because without them, Gina is a dull girl:)!!

Who is Siccness?

Hip-Hop recording artist Siccness was raised in Orange County, California in the cities of Santa Ana & Tustin, and at a young age fought his way through adversities that shape the man that he has become today. Siccness lost his father to a homicide when he was only 9 years old and soon had to take over the role as man of the house. Family, especially his daughter, is what drives Siccness to achieve success.

Because of the inspiration of hip-hop greats like 2pac, Scarface, Eminem, Big Pun, & many more, Siccness fell in love with hip-hop music. Although Siccness knows people from all over and has many acquaintances, few people get to know the real Siccness, which is best seen through his music. In 2006 Siccness started to make a name for himself with the release of his first street album titled “Here I Come”. And In 2008,Siccness built an even bigger buzz with his second street album which was titled “The Orange County Zoo”.

In 2010 Siccness established his own company in Siccness Music, launched his website (www.siccnessmusic.com), released the “I Am Siccness” EP, and his Siccness Store which includes his own branded merchandise.
With the “I Am Siccness” EP release, which is produced entirely by friend and fellow Hip-Hop recording artist Epademik, Siccness started to gain an even larger fan base all over the United States, as well as Europe and South East Asia. Siccness has taken his music to a whole other level and is ready to let the world know who he really is.

Then the Orange County native finished up his second EP which is titled “Bottom Line”, which was put out via LRT/Universal Music Group where Siccness got a newly signed Digital Distribution deal, the EP was released on March 29, 2011. When asked about the new EP Siccness said “I guarantee this is some of my best work yet”.

Just recently Siccness decided to part ways with LRT/Universal Music Group, The reason stated by Siccness was because him and the Labels were not on the same page and it was time for him to go a different route. Shortly after Siccness announced that he signed a new deal with BadSeed Entertainment where he will get Worldwide Digital & Physical Distribution. Siccness is currently in the studio working on his full length LP titled “ME”. And as far as this album goes Siccness & Epademik are saying that its gonna be “A Big Sound That’s Larger Then Life”.

Siccness has performed at such venues as House Of Blues (Hollywood, CA), The Galaxy Theatre (Santa Ana, CA), Detroit Bar (Costa Mesa, CA), The Rhythm Lounge (Long beach, CA), and Velvet Jones (Santa Barbara, Ca) to name a few. Siccness has opened up for such artists as Devin The Dude, Strong Arm Steady, De La Soul, Omar Cruz, KRS-One, Defari, Canibus and has headlined shows himself, as well as going on tour.

Who is Epademik?

With a distinctive voice and fresh swagger, Epademik Emcee Esq is a standout among the contemporary hip-hop community. Epademik’s relentless attitude toward the quality of his work and its continued originality and improvement has been echoed in his unstoppable rise in the hip-hop world. Epademik’s journey into the world of music began in the early 1990’s when his older brother introduced him to the hip-hop scene. Studying such legendary hip-hop pioneers as Big Daddy Kane, KRS-1, Too Short & Special Ed to name a few, Epademik’s distinctive style of expression began to take shape. After years of fine-tuning his freestyle skills, Epademik began battling other emcees and building a reputation for his often humorous rhymes.

As time went on Epademik and his older brother formed a group called The Casual Crew and performed at a number of local clubs, including Sloppy Joe’s (Irvine, CA), The Block of Orange (Orange, CA), Stadium Palladium (Anaheim, CA), and Shepherds Night Club (Phoenix, AZ).

After three years, two albums completed, and a significant fan base, The Casual Crew disbanded, forcing Epademik to contemplate which way to take his career. In the void left by the breakup of The Casual Crew, Epademik honed his artist skills even more by becoming more involved in the production aspects of hip-hop, including overseeing the production of fellow artist K.O.’s album The Main Event.

In 2001, Epademik decided to team up with K.O. to record the album Drinkin, Smokin, Straight Westcoastin under the name 100 Proof. Epademik spent the next year and a half promoting the 100 Proof album and networking with producers and artists throughout southern California and Arizona, whom he soon gained notoriety among for his creative songwriting skills and lyrics.

Feeling it was time to seriously pursue a solo career, Epademik virtually disappeared from the music scene for almost a year to perfect his debut album, and in the summer of 2004 Listen at Your Own Risk was released. The lead single Act Like You Know hailed the number one spot on The Open Mic Show (klbc.org, Long Beach city College) for six weeks, until being retired by another of Epademik’s songs.

In 2006, Epademik’s second solo album, The Third Finger, was released nationally in stores and internationally via the Internet. Despite currently being an independent artist, Epademik’s work has received radio play nation-wide, including in the states of Massachusetts, Hawaii, Arizona, Texas, Michigan, and of course California. Such national renown continues to demonstrate Epademik’s unstoppable rise toward the very top of the hip-hop community.

Epademik was nominated for Hip Hop artist of the year at the 2007 Orange County Music Awards and was nominated in 2008 for Urban artist of the year. Most recently Epademik has teamed up with DJ Arkane (Shadyville DJ/Bogish Boy) to put out his latest mixtapes. This has lead to Epademik working with Cashis (Shady Records). Truly great things are in store for this Orange County Hip Hop artist. For 2009 Ep connected with the multi-platinum publicist Jonathan Hay which in turn landed him a deal with Hoopla Media Group/Universal Music Group.

Epademik’s first major release on Hoopla/Universal will be titled “Addicted to the Grind”, which will be released by the end of 2009.

Who is Railroad to Alaska

Formed along a coastal anchor of California in early 2009,Post-grunge/alternative metal trust, Railroad to Alaska, began compiling their interests between genres into a cooperative act.

Lead vocalist/guitarist Justin Suitor, guitarist Jeff Lyman, vocalist/bassist Justin Morales, drummer Derek Eglit, and lyricist/artist Ryan Williams issued their first recorded effort in the fall of 2010. The EP titled, luckybearclawdoom, cultivated an aggressive buzz in the local area and was delivered as a demand for creative conviction. After touring the small club circuits of Southern California over the next year, the group pulled together to document their looming new sound. Marked by gaining notoriety with publications, and winning "Best New Artist" at the Orange County Music Award's, the group was provided with the opportunity to inhabit a larger platform.

The spring of 2011 brought their second recording, Salvation, to the surface. With the approach to both lyrics and music becoming more cerebral and tarnished, the group began to unpack the ambitions of revival.

July and August brought a stint on The Vans Warped Tour. As one of the few unsigned bands, Railroad to Alaska made an immediate impression on punk legends FEAR which lead to an opening slot with them in September.

OC Music Awards winner of Best New Artist in 2011, Railroad to Alaska, took home the coveted prize of a music video produced for the song of their choice, "The Real Thing, "compliments of OC Music Awards and the Awards visual production company, Akorn Entertainment.

Who is Martin Gerschwitz?

Martin Gerschwitz is a classically trained german born keyboard master. At the age of sixteen, Martin performed classical music with big german Orchestras.

In 1967, his older brother, who is a very successful Cello player, influenced Martin with the Rock-n-Roll genre, and it was then that Martin put together his first band called "The Avengers"!

For several years Martin performed on the european scene playing with famous german bands as well as international singers, including being the keyboard player for "Percy Sledge" (When a man loves a woman), who he played with all over Europe.

It was in 1978 when Martin formed his own American style rock band called "Break Point"They recorded an album in 1981 called "First Serving", and they toured successfully throughout the American Military Circuit in Europe.
